Polaris Ranger 500 & 570 Oil Change....

Just thought I would pass along the alternative I found and use instead of the "pricey" Polaris oil change kit for my Ranger 500. (OEM filter is a Polaris 2540086, 3.4" in height.)

I use a Carquest 85356 or Wix 51356 oil filter, 2 qrts Castrol Edge 5w50 Synthetic oil (purchased at Advanced Auto Parts) and got a pack of M12 x 19 x 1.5 copper crush washers for drain plug from Amazon. The washer qty will last a long time and the filter and oil is considerably cheaper!

Good deal. I have found out with Advance if you go online and buy your parts for pick-up, they will usually give you a discount code. Have to pay by CC even for store pick-up, but sometimes the code gets you 10% to 15% off. Other retailers offer something similar for on-line to store shopping, but Advance seems to be more consistent with the discounts.
