In an earlier thread back in early October I shared video of a bachelor group together right before dispersing during the rut.
Sure sign the rut is over in my neck of the woods is that the bucks are now back together.
They're still doing some light sparring to work out a pecking order, but their hides tell the story of the more violent fighting being in the past as almost all visible signs of battle wounds are healed up.
Didn't harvest a single deer this past year due to killing 3 in the 2022-23 season as well as harvesting a boatload of hogs (75+). That shared, already looking forward to the fall and hoping I can make an appreciable dent in freezer storage space by then.
