Rainy 4th.....forced a change in tactics....no problem.

Yesterday I'd bought a pair of ribeyes with the intention of grilling them today.

Gott'em home and soaking in the fridge overnight....teriyaki style marinade.

Also decided to add some shrimp with the plan on skewering them, grilling with some Tiger Sauce brushed on. Did a quicker marinade with them this morning.

Bad weather rolled in and thwarted my plans to finally fire up a grill after a long, long absence.

Rain, rain....Zaterains.

An indoor idea was hatched out of necessity.

Zateriains yellow rice mix came together on the stove.....moved over and burner turned on on turbo setting and a big ole skillet went on with some grapeseed oil in it.

Ribeyes sliced & diced.

Oven heated up and a pair of frozen things went in.

Then the rest happened in the skillet:

Two strips of bacon leftover from breakfast.

Plated up and about to be devoured.

About the time I finished......the rain stopped. Go figure.

Man, that looks delicious, brother!

And that's why I keep my grills on a covered porch, but I don't think you missed out on much by cooking that in a pan.
