Squawking dishwasher door

Our dishwasher emits an annoying squawk when the door is opened and closed. It has a spring and string arrangement to offset the weight of the door. The springs are on the back of the frame, a string attaches to the door, runs over a roller and attaches to the door. I’ve tried several things to stop the squawk, such as lithium grease on the string and roller. It helps for a day or two and the squawk returns. I’m thinking the strings are vibrating and causing the springs to also vibrate. I’m going to try foam pipe insulation over the springs. The noise for some reason seems to come mostly from the right side. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
