The Annual Banquet for The Traditional Bowhunters of Georgia, will be held Saturday August 9, in Barnesville Ga at the Garden Patch Eating House. :fine:

This is the same place we gathered last year. There was plenty of room and plenty of good food.

We will have our Business Meeting beginning at 4 pm, wrap this up before 5, then begin the Silent Auctions, eat and socialize. At 6: 30 we will have a few announcements, news items, word from out Youth Program and some awards; Sinew and First Blood.

During our business meeting we will go over our Financials: last years totals and the new years budget. Set dates and locations for remaining 2014 and coming 2015 events: Central Zone Shoot, State Shoot and Northern Zone Shoot, plus hunts and gatherings, and very important, Youth Program Events in 2014.

At 7, will will begin our live Auctions and close the Silent Auctions. Donations are welcome for items for both. We have 2 trips already donated, and quite a few items.

Please feel free to post your donations in this thread.

Everyone is welcome, Members, Potential Members, folks who want to learn about who we are, and what we do.

Please come! We will be honored, and glad to see you.

Thanks for getting this posted Jeff.

It is that time again for our annual banquet. We have some great trips and items this year for the auction. The money we raise helps to fund our youth archery program which touches hundreds of kids each year and gets a bow and arrow in thier hands, many for the very first time. For some, this lights the archery fire that keeps our traditional ways alive for years to come.

This year we will have to continue with the auctions as we did last year. The bag raffles that we all enjoy are not an option this year as we continue to try to correct the issues with our tax exempt status. We are making progress and I will provide an update at the banquet as to where we stand and answer any questions regarding the situation.

If you can help us out with any donations for the auctions, door prize give aways or something to give away to the kids who attend, it would be greatly appreciated. You can post the details here or get with myself, Jeff or a zone rep and we will make arrangements to get your item to the banquet.

As Jeff stated we will conduct our yearly business meeting and discuss the year to come. Our zone reps will be providing the details of our upcoming hunts.

It is a good time, with good folks and great fellowship. Come on out and meet some new people. You might even find a new hunting opportunity or two. If you are not a member yet or are just starting the traditional journey , don't let that stop you. Come visit with us and see what we do.

If you are a TBG member, please come and be a part of the banquet. It is your club...

Thanks,

Lee Camp
TBG President

It was a good time. Got to meet lots of folks I had not met in person before. It was an excellent venue and the officers did a great job all around.

Absolutely. Some of the finest people I know. You can find us online, or come to one of our hunts.

And really great pictures Tomi, as usual.

A successful Banquet in the books; thank you to everyone that donated items, attended the banquet and purchased items.

We had a good turn out, covered and decided quite a few business items for next year, and nailed down dates for upcoming events and shoots.

Our club did well with the support from the attendees. We members are TBG, and make TBG the great organization is has become, will be, and I am sure will continue to be down the road. :)
I am so very proud to be a small part of it all.

Thank you to Melvin Edwards for another printing of the TBG Book! Melvin got with the publisher, fronted the money and made this happen.

After deducting a few meager expenses, we raised right at $2750.00 for our club.

Thanks everyone! PLease know these funds will be used meagerly, frugally, and wisely. :)
