They gobbled this yesterday and this morning. I called in a jake this morning and then walked into a gobbler, huh.

It was 44* here this morning and wind blowing . I didn’t expect to hear anything , they gobbled good here also

38 this morning. Heard a gobble at 7:45. Just one and he was well within 100 yards. Saw 2 hens at noon. Had another hen walk 10 yards past me at 1:30. Still at it…….roughest start I can remember for me.

I’m glad you are hearing some. I’ve heard 2 single gobbles all season so far. Lots of hens and jakes around. Haven’t heard the first hen help loud. From fly down to roost there just pecking away without a care in the world.

Set up about 150 yards on a gobbler this morning but heard hens and Tom fly down together.

Well guys, he ain’t a giant but I’m happy with him. Came in with 4 other jakes. This guy was much larger than the other 4? He was half strutting and his head was brilliant red, white and blue. Obviously the dominant one out of the bunch. His main beard measured 6 1/4” second beard 2.5” third beard 2”. He weighed 17lbs. Jake tail fan and nubs for spurs.
