That's a great deer, a great story, and I could not be more happier for that guy to shoot that buck, no matter what the naysayers on here have to say about it.
I grew up in that area of east Texas and there are some nice deer there, and a lot of deer there. A low-fence is your typical 3-strand or 5-strand barbed-wire fence, as someone said high enough that the cows can't get over, but the deer can.
