Trotline in GA power lakes?

Any of you ever tried a trotline in any of the bigger (Ga Power) lakes? I’m thinking of doing one across the mouth of our little cove, where there is no boat traffic, besides us. Very, very, rarely does another boat come in(to fish) because it’s shallow & very little underwater structure. Never used a trotline in a public lake & haven’t even looked at the “rules”. I’m guessing that I need to make it visible, maybe floating, with Noodles on it? to keep other boaters from getting tangled in it? Or,does this sound like more work & headache than it’s worth? Just trying to catch a pile of Catfish for an end of Summer fish fry ;)

I’ve set quite a few in West Point lake . No issues besides a couple probably cut by bass fishermen that got hung on them . I put enough weight on mine that if a boat gets hung on it they were probably dragging bottom
