Spur = 7/8 .875
.875 x 10 = 8.75
Beard = 9 5/8 9.625

Total score 8.75 + 9.65 = 18.375

Team #35 ...Young Guns entry

I harvested a nice long beard this morning @ 7:10 am. I was able to make it to work early 7:45. He has a 10.5" beard and both spurs are exactly 1". Score will be 20.5. I will post the pics and story ASAP. I am at work and still have to take pics. Hope I get off work before dark. Thanks.

Heard this bird gobble at 6:45am. He gobbled 6 or 7 times. I set up on him at 7am. Had a hen fly down behind me and start clucking before I ever made a call. He would not gobble anymore. I heard a bird out in front of me clucking also. I clucked 3 or 4 times and yelped real soft. No gobble. The hen behind me started clucking more and heading my way. The other bird in front of me likewise. At 7:09am the bird in front of me clucking stepped out at 15 yds. I could see a red head. Thought it might be a jake. It stepped behind a big oak and I got my gun up just in case. When it stepped out from behind that oak that is when (SUPRISE) I saw that long beard and at 7:10am it was lights out. You talking about a wham bam thank u mam hunt. A 10 minute quicky right before work. PTL!!!!!!!
