2/8 = .25
3/8 = .375
4/8 = .5
5/8 = .625
6/8 = .75
7/8 = .875

example 1 1/8 spur = 1.125 x 10= 11.25

but then you have to convert the beard to decimal form to get the final score.

ex. 10 3/8 beard = 10.375

Total score 11.25 + 10.375 = 21.625

Killed in paulding county this morning (5-3-08). One of 3 birds gobbling. I set up on one from the roost but he shut up, then got on this bird and after 1.5 hours and 3 setups I killed him. My 3rd bird of the year, so im done shooting now. Still got a little bit of guiding to do.

got this bird thursday morning before work- My computer has been giving me fits trying to download these pics-finally got it to work- anyway, my limit is up!! Thanks to GOD for a great season- one that started out really bad, completely turned around to be a great one. I did however manage to miss the biggest bird of my life- word of advice:"never look at the beard and spurs until he's on the ground!!!"

Final bird for team #32. Killed last Saturday 4-26-08. He is sporting an 11" beard and 1 1/4" spurs. I have been holding out to see if my teammate could get a better one but the stars didn't align for him unfortunately.

This one will cull our smallest bird and add a few points to our score.

Patience does indeed pay off! Watched two gobblers in a clear cut for two hours, strutting their stuff. Wouldn't respond to my calls, had to just wait them out. Bird sixteen pounds, beard 10 inches, spurs 1inch = 20 points
