UPDATE: Fished yesterday and today…..Beautiful weather, but fishing was much tougher than expected. Saw LOTS of males already on well-built beds, only a few females/pairs……Saw a TON of bass just “cruising and looking” swimming slowly, very close to the bank. If you cast anything anywhere near them, they immediately got real spooked. Managed to catch a few, mostly small, and 1 good/fat female, but that was it in 2 full days. They overall seemed “Done with Pre-Dpawn, kinda in Spawn, but not fully locked-in yet, and the most skittish/easily spooked Bass I’ve ever seen (not just those on bed, but any Bass I could see anywhere- throw a tiny, weightless plastic 60 feet away from them, and they’d act like Armageddon was happening).
