: More than 600 thousand walleye fingerlings landed in lakes Lanier, Hartwell, Yonah, Tugalo, Rabun, Seed, Chatuge, Blue Ridge and Carters over the past couple weeks. Learn more about Georgia’s walleye program HERE.

Rocky PFA Walleye Stocking

: Rocky Mountain Recreation and Public Fishing Area (PFA) is probably best known for its trophy largemouth, hand sized bream and slab crappie, but did you know walleye also call Rocky Mountain PFA home? Walleye are a native species and have been stocked annually at Rocky Mountain for more than a decade to further diversify the facility’s sport fishery. Keep em coming DNR . Blue Ridge and Carter's are both great walleye lakes with year round fishable populations. We are seeing avg fish sizes on Blue Ridge of 21" and 23" on Carter's. Targeting them on artificials has become an obsession over the past 4yrs and its finally paying off with good number's of quality fish on both lakes.

That my Friend is one that has been on my mind for years..Been told it's the best fresh water fish to eat bar none . I have caught a ton of stripers at Carters, but do to a stroke and overall heath, I never got the chance to catch, or cook and eat one..I may start after Christmas to hire a guide..I had to sell my center console and Harley do to health issue's. It is still on my Bucket list..

They have been in Lanier for years, I seen my cousin catch one about 3-4lbs 25yrs ago

Apparently they were stocked in Lanier back after it was impounded and still are
