What are You Buying Now That Shocks You the Most?

NE GA Pappy

Mr. Pappy
My wife and I went to Costco last night to pick up a few things we needed, and walked out with a few things in the buggy. Total price? $402.00 I think the thing that shocked me the most was the price of toilet paper. A case of Charmin was nearly $20. I thought to myself... good grief...I can't afford to buy the groceries, and then I can't afford to get rid of them afterward.

What shocks you when you see the current prices?

No sales on meat. And when they do, it’s sold out before I get there

range time. Skeet is $8/rd and shells $9/box. Gets spensive fast

so bad, I am even hitting walmarks for things. And i dislike that place A LOT!

...just joking, seriously.
Not just related to the inflation of the last few years...
But I would have never guessed back during the gas crisis in the early 70s that 50 yrs later, I'd be paying more per gallon for bottled drinking water than I would be for a gallon of gas.

That gas per gallon is more expensive than water per gallon.

We need water to survive, we don't need gas to survive. But yet, water, the kind we need from our taps, is dirt cheap, and so people waste it. The most precious and needed resource we have is just dirt cheap and wasted.
