I talked to a guy yesterday that had a broken leg bone bad broke. Put a piece of rod in with screws. Bone not back together.
New lock on. In place not long. Squirrel ate a strap into. Un clapped going down. Broke because of squirrels. Crawled to truck & called for help.

I guess they all can fail.
Be safe and inspect a lot.

We require lifelines on all our lockons and are tied on from ground up and back to ground again. Never a reason to untie.
