I’ve been reloading a little over year and am in need of another batch of 1911 food.

So far for .45 acp I’ve loaded:

Berry’s 230gr fmj over 5.3gr W231
Berry’s 230gr fmj over 7.8gr Accurate #5
Hornady XTP 230gr over 6.8gr of CFEP
Speer 200gr lswc over 7.8gr of CFEP

I have Extreme 230gr plated, and more Speer 200gr lswc for projectiles and a large assortment of powders on hand.

What’s everyone’s favorite loads for 1911 food?

For punching paper with .45 acps I like minimum loads of bullseye iron titegroup. 230 RN seem to feed the best. I don't like 1911s though

Howdy Adam.

I am counting on finding a load my 1911 pistolas like with 200gr lswc over doses of W231 or TiteGroup.

I am well supplied and am confident some good accuracy is within reach.

For a few years the Wilson Combat 200gr lswc over TG was my favorite ammo.

Figured now that I have the gear I will make it myself.

A pile of W231 & TiteGroup awaits. Those .45’s are hongry, too. :)

I think my next two batches will be 200gr lswc over 5.0 is W231 and over 4.9gr of 700x to see what they like best. Although, my Springfield Loaded really liked 200gr lswc over 8.5 of Accurate #5.
