Week two was SUPPOSED to be a snoozefest cupcake weekend for most of the college foobaw world. Instead, the bakery put scotch bonnet peppers in several cupcakes and the upsets and close calls were plentiful. Five ranked teams went down this week. I mean, FSU and Notre Dame fought tooth and claw to the end last week. This week? The Noles forget to put deep defensive backs in a throwing situation, give up 13 points in the 4th quarter and lose to Jacksonville State. Notre Dame? They had to score 18 in the 4th to overcome the TOLEDO Rockets!
Anyway, we know less about most teams now than we did last week. Ohio State gets upset by Oregon, Alabama sluggishly takes out the Bears(of Mercer), Dawgs destroy UAB, Texas A&M loses their only QB in 1st quarter but wins anyway, Arkansas may actually be good this year as they totally dominated Texas in a runaway, Miami survives App. State with a win, and Tennessee has a QB who can't throw a pass over 10 yds. and it cost them against Pitt. Congrats to Vandy on the stunning upset of Colorado State. Had the 'Dores down to go winless this year.
On to the next set of games and its anybodys game as the chaos is raging right now and upsets are happening weekly.
