We had a pretty good participation from GA last year so I wanted to put a post here to let everyone know the dates. It is the weekend of May 21.

Right now there is only an Open class. If that changes I will let everyone know.

Just moving this back up. I had some interest from some guys around Atlanta.

This year the event is not being held at the softball complex but rather downtown on the river. The archery event will actually be shooting out toward the river (don't miss). Portions of downtown will be closed off and your participation badge will get you into clubs, etc. The "Uptown" Columbus folks have a thing called the bar crawl where one wrist band gets you into 6 to 8 different bars.

The purse will be guaranteed $7,500.00 with a first place of $3,000.00 and pay backs through the top 8 places if there are 30 or more shooters. So far we have committments from more than 30 guys but only have 8 to 10 preregistered.

You do not have to preregister but preregistration will get you your parking pass, event pass, etc. If you register on site you will probably have to pay to park, buy a pass to get in, etc.

The event will be a blast so go to the web page above and fling a few arrows at 30/40 and 50 yards and come on out.

Its all just about set up. We didn't set the targets last night but did set the frame for the runner and pop up etc. Everything is measured off and today everything will be up and running. SHooters should start rolling in about 9AM tommorow.

IF someone reading this decides to come..... Go to the main ticket gate at Front Ave and 10th St and walk in WITHOUT your bow. If you did not preregister you have to buy a ticket to come in. Then you come to the archery venue and register for the archery shoot. That will get you the credentials to come in the archery gate. Those that preregistered can come in the gate right beside the archers tent on Dillingham St.

Should be a blast. There will be all sorts of events, live music and good smelling BBQ wafting through the streets. Torture to a fat guy.
