anybody turn calls?

who turns their own calls on a lathe? I do pottery already but would like to turn calls too.

I spin a few calls on the lathe from time to time. I have done some bowls, but not too many. I'll show you a few tricks about call making. If you would return the favor with a couple of bowl pointers.

turned two the other day!

well i turned my first two the other day, one out of black walnut and the other out of red cedar, both are crow calls. I will post some picks tomorrow! Im using my dads metal lathe and i made a mandrel out of a snapper lawn mower axle and two adjustible bosses.
