There are a bunch of dead U.S citizen's families might argue that statement.
Was too general of a statement. Should have said most.

There’s this EVerify thing that state agencies are supposed to use.
It used to be a requirement for private sector companies in order to obtain an occupation tax license (business license). I signed up to get an ID number for compliance purposes. Used it once and decided not to use it again. They changed the law and removed the requirement to obtain an occupation tax cert but I think employers are still required to use it. It’s just another way for the government to force the private sector to do the government’s job since government at all levels is epically failing at their collective responsibility.

Private businesses are required to do E Verify on hires and sign E Verify affidavits on subcontracts with state dollars involved. Yet the governments do nothing to stop the flow of illegals. Fire all incumbents!

and all the HR that don't uphold the EVerify law.

The 'brother' was hired and fired from UGA Food Services before receiving 1st paycheck - yes, fake green card. And the accused was arrested and detained in NYC prior to this for unlawful conduct with 17 yr old or younger female....he was simply released reportedly due to lack of holding (jail) space...and resources to prosecute......"our" issues are way bigger than the Mayor of Athens...just saying.

Our issues are certainly bigger than the Mayor of Athens but we must begin to work on the issues one at a time and working on those close to home is the right place to start IMO.

When asked about federal government policy that might be related to this case the mayor said" that it was not his domain" and the reporter should ask others for that answer. But in 2019 he made it his "domain" by inviting aliens no matter what their legal status to Athens. Now comes an illegal alien that brutally murders an innocent girl and the man says it's not his domain.
"rampant buckpassery" as I like to call it. Nobody ever "owns" their mistakes - they just make payments on them.

Interesting! Definitely a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Like the old saying goes "there's no reason for it - it's just our policy!"

on channel 46?....getting crazy!

Mayor is lowlife scum who represents what is going wrong in our country.

Citizen safety has taken a low priority with the current administration in charge of our country. Lowlife sycophants like the Athens mayor are doling out the crap piped in from the idiots in charge.

The refuse runs downhill, so to speak.

Elections have consequences.

Especially stolen ones.

Not about the Athens mayor per se - but this involves the overall immigration problem: I heard on the Clay & Buck show a few days ago that while it is true that illegal migrants cannot vote* and even legal immigrants might not be immediately able to vote, they are still counted on the census for demographic purposes and can influence and affect redistricting and other factors that can then affect political power.

*the rumors of "flooding the ballot boxes with illegal voters" don't pan out because illegal votes don't count - in theory anyway. But if illegal votes end up not counting eventually after being audited/vetted they can still influence an election. Taking all "early voting" off the table, if it appears that a landslide of the popular vote makes one candidate mathematically unable to win, people might stay home. If people in the Eastern Time Zone do this, momentum could spread as the night progresses. Granted not all immigrants vote Democrat, especially immigrants from Cuba/Africa and other countries & continents around the planet that are sick of communism & chaotic coups or whatever. But Democrat/Republican is a moot point - having so many people casting null & void/illegal votes is just plain wrong no matter how you slice it. It's IMHO not so much a Democrat/Republican problem it is an American problem! And it is just too easy to make fake ID documents. Fake ID mills get busted all the time.
