Bakin Bacon... (giant slurping sound)

...just joking, seriously.
1st half-hearted attempt (after-thought, really) with some meat candy...
45 mins in a pan in a 325°convection oven, Lightly dripped with some vanilla extract and a light touch of cinnamon sugar (didnt have brown sugar). Dabbed the grease from the tilted pan several times so not to dab the meat. It was a double layer in a small pan so after 45 minutes,I flipped and finished at 450゚.

I don't know what the heck I'm doing in a kitchen, but I will be doing that bigger and better next time..

Anybody got any good recipes/procedures for this?

“Pig candy”, when you see it sizzling well slide it out and generously sprinkle Turninado-Sugar in the raw on it. Pop it back in the oven til the desired effect/crispness you want and the sugar is melted.

Oh, and let it cool before stacking it up on a platter/plate, or in a container, otherwise it will stick all together.

Don’t forget some pepper. A bit of cayenne or similar.

we mixed with brown sugar. It was pretty good. Only about 1/4 survived the prep process. Ate it almost as fast as it cooked
