Found this past turkey season just off the Flint River in Dougherty County. Nice percussion flaking on the face. Heavy patina, Coastal Plains chert. Base and sides ground.
Could have been, but the sides in the hafting area were ground, and a lot of work would be needed to set up a platform for a thinning or fluting strike.
It reminds me of a preform that was broken while being worked and then turned into another tool.
