Cabelas Herter's ammo

Has anyone tried it?
It's a good price point but is it any good?
Was looking at a box of 22lr. The copper plating seems irregular and coarse. Anyone with a 10/22 knows these rifles can be finicky. Normally, I buy the Winchester 555 box but am considering the Herters.
The browning 22 was horrible. Unplatted, just bare lead , I got more bent bullets and misfires than shot rounds. Before wasting money on the Herters, I'd like to know what tall thought.

DK Herters, but stay away from the Remington Buckets of bullets unless you intend to shoot quickly. search for my thread about corrosion. I think most will now feed in my Browning SA22 after a coupla trips thru the corn media.

I have tried Herters brand 30-06, 7.62x54r, 6.5x55 some in different packaging which could be from various manufactures. It has been fine and a good value. Good source for cheap brass as well.
