Carp?

This pic taken in our <1acre pond. Is it a carp? We stocked about a dozen of them because of lily pads.

Can't say for sure from that pic, but that definitely could be a grass carp.

Grass carp. They get big in a hurry if there's vegetation in the pond.

Thanks for the help. The pond has heavy vegetation. We have recently sprayed to help control. Hope the carp can keep weeds down in the future.

My brother in law bought a house with about a two acre pond. It was a solid mass of algae and vegetation. He put in about two dozen 10 inch grass carp. They were two feet long within two years and cleaned out the pond. They'd sit right on the bank eating overgrown tall grasses and weeds and scare the heck out you exploding out when you walked by.
