Some of my corn stalks have leaves that are turning yellowish. What is causing that problem?

Got any pics? Old leaves or the new growth at top?

I noticed mine is doing the same thing today when I ran the cultivator through it but I’m thinking mine has been getting to much water with all this rain

I’d bet to much water or not enough fertilizer
Might be to both. The place I planted catches a lot of water when it rains and we’ve been watering regularly when it doesn’t rain. I also haven’t used any fertilizer, I planted the last Monday in April and thinned last week.

I also planted my pole beans with the corn last week when I thinned the corn to add nitrogen to the soil

Side dress it with some fertilizer and pull some dirt to it . I planted some on May 4 , added triple 13 when planting . Fertilized again this weekend and plowed it . It’s knee high

Yellow leaves at the bottom are almost always indicative of lack of nitrogen. The new growth at the top of the stalk is essentially stealing nitrogen from the lower leaves to feed the top. Corn burns through a lot of N and if you haven’t applied any, it is most certainly lacking enough
