Cubed New York Strip. Anybody Tried That?

Went shopping today and got a bunch of meat.

With that, I found some nice strips about half price of what a ribeye is.

Had the meat man run it through the cubing machine. One pass.

Recon we will see. I never have done it before.16852163353322584298630288784450.jpg

Never really had an urge to cube a grilling quality steak. It should be good.

Season it up a little with some ground cayenne, crushed garlic, and throw it on the coals. If nothing else it oughter be tender.

Well that is only 50 cents more per pound than I had to pay for a similar sized family pack of "actual" cubed steak at Kroger.

I guarantee yours is going to better than mine, being NY strip. (y)

I been thinking about doing this for a while and the steak was at an almost reasonable price plus I got there before the meat man left so I had him send it through for one pass thought the machine. Just to tenderize and not mangle it up.

Strips are lean and the Ribeye was out of sight.

Definitely going to grill or hit it with the cast iron not frying.
