I don’t either. Growing up,we caught black snakes home and put them around the barn. Worked better for the rats than cats.

It could have stayed around this abode if it would have just taken care of the field mice.

How's the moisture content I the soil? Of course it is supposed to rain in the next 48 hours.

It’s dry but I’ve reserved a tote and a half of water for this patch.

Some folks put golf balls in the egg layers nest. Kills the snake once they injest it.

Just can't do that. They are part of the control of vermin. It would get a load of rat shot if I was going to dispatch it.

I took two down yesterday before the skidder operators run them over for fun. 400 acres of beautiful hardwoods and pines are about to be gone. Turning it into a high dollar subdivision.

My old garden spot yielded boxes and boxes of nice finds like that. My old place was on Big Mountain just above a big spring. Nice flat spot. Apparently it was used heavily.
