Look like he's all tail and a headThey are still pretty common down here. I've helped several up over the curb and out of the road in the last year on my morning walk. Just like other lizards they can re-grow their tail if it breaks off.
Fortunately for him he was at my house not the farm where we saw the coral snake last year.It is. I don`t see near as many as I used to. Coral snakes eat em like candy.
Yeah, I caught him by the tail to help move him along (my wife hates any snakes) and about 1/2" of his tail broke off. Kinda what tipped me off that it was a lizard. Never had a snake lose part of his tail. They are still pretty common down here. I've helped several up over the curb and out of the road in the last year on my morning walk.
