Gone but not forgotten.
Many people in the world feel that God does not love them or understand them. The truth is that God is love and that God loves each and everyone more than they could ever realize.
God’s word says that God so loved the world "meaning you" that he gave his only begotten son "Jesus" that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Have you ever looked inside yourself and seen the emptyness and darkness within?
The sin nature that each and everyone of us was born with abounds in all of us. We all inherited it from Adam and Eve.
Before sin became a part of us, Adam walked with God, communed with God.
Once sin entered the picture he lost that walk and communion and so did we. They believed the lies of Satan and even so today many continue to believe Satan’s lies.
Adam and Eve tried to hide themselves from God and sewed fig leaves together to hide and cover their nakedness which before they had no shame in.
God came looking for Adam, for his walk and communion, calling to Adam "Where art thou?" but Adam was hiding from God in fear because of the sin.
Today we too hide from God because of the sin. We try to cover our nakedness with our works and self righteousness instead of coming to God as we are.
When Adam and Eve came to God as they were and admitted what had happened God took away the fig leaves which they had made and instead clothed them himself with coats of skins.
They still had the knowledge of sin but God had covered their nakedness himself.
God today also wants to clothe all of us in the righteousness of his son, Jesus Christ.
To cover our sin and nakedness as he covered Adam and Eve. God calls out today as he did then to all of us "Where art thou?"
You can come to God as you are today by faith and God will cover you with the righteousness of his own son Jesus who died in the place of you for your sin.
When Christ died in our place, he took our place and our punishment. He paid the full price for our sin and satisfied God when he died in our place on the cross of Calvary
God raised him from the dead three days later without the sin of the world "our sin" that he took upon himself for our sakes and even now Jesus is at the right hand of God, our Advocate, our Intercessor, our Mediator, our High Priest that entered the holiest of holies with his own blood and obtained eternal redemtion for us and we are now covered by his righteouness and as Adam and Eve were covered, so are we by faith, faith that is born in the heart, and that faith is that God loves us and has made us righteous with what he has done himself at the cross.
2 Corinthians 5:21 states this: For he "God" hath made him "Jesus" to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him "Jesus".
Is God calling to you..Where art thou?
Just come as you are to Jesus by faith believing you are forgiven because Jesus took your place and the punishment for your sin and God will clothe you with his own righteouness that will last forever.
