How long will BBQ sauce keep in the fridge??

Ive got some of my homemade vinegar based sauce in the fridge, but its been in there for a while. Still smells and taste good but dont wanna give the kids food poisoning lol.

As long as no mold is growing, you don't have anything to worry 'bout............... I STILL have some of BBQboss's sauce in the fridge (very little) that I still use!

I poured it down the drain just to be safe.

You should have poured it into a boiler, added a little water, brought it to a boil and let it simmer for a few minutes and put it back in the fridge.

Depends

I would think it would depend on what is in the sauce. A vinegar base should last longer than others. I have heard onions are more apt to mold than some items so if your sauce has onions.....

It will keep months. Even the store bought sweet stuff.

If it's real vinegar sauce, it will keep forever, and gets better as it ages, and it doesn't have to be refrigerated. I make it by the gallon, and it may take me 6 months to use it all up.
