Are there certain areas of the state that are more predisposed to finding points and such ?

And since I travel for work how about the east side of the country, mainly above Richmond,Va and tons of time in Pennsylvania. Any tips??

Can`t help you on them up north points, but I`d hazard a guess that the finest points in Georgia are found in the southwestern part of the state.

Start along the main rivers and creeks...... the high spots within 1/4 mile of the water.
