The herring spawn is definitely on. I've never really knowingly fished a herring spawn, but I was prepared for it this past weekend.
Friday morning, we caught 46 bass (45 spots and 1 largemouth). We caught fish on almost every point we stopped at. We put in a Shuck Pen and never went beyond Hwy 72 bridge (3.0 miles away). We caught fish on a kvd sexy dawg jr, vixen, yo-zuri pencil (in pic), a-rigs, damiki (freeloader), and ned rigs. The big fish was 4.12 lbs on Friday.
Saturday, we had a tournament and caught about 30 bass. Our best 3 weighed 8.29 lbs and we finished 6/15 boats.. Our best 5 would have been just over 13 lbs.
