I used to be a Pro-Shooter(Fingers) for Hoyt for several years. Yes Hoyt does make a fine product. IMO, Mathews makes the finest bow available(Switchback). Its very smooth and forgiving.
I would suggest shooting both Hoyt and Mathews and figure out which bow best suits you.
I have several friends that love their Hoyt bows. I will be sticking with the Mathews.
Good Luck
The SwitchBack is the best shooting bow I've ever shot. That includes the Hoyt VTec. I'll agree with Rey, those long strings can be a concern, but I have got to go with how they feel and shoot.
The search is over. After several sleepless nights, for better or worse I bought a new 2005 Hoyt Ultra-Tech this morning. It felt really good when I shot it at the pro shop. Now if it will just quit raining so I can go out and play.........
