Meat Chickens Again

The journey is over for this batch of meat birds. Got them the first week of April and ran out of food this week so it was time to go. I believe we started out with 42. One died, and we killed three due to leg issues. I believe 38 made it to butcher day today. They were raised on grass from day one and pulled around a grown up fall plot that was heavy on crimson clover and arrowleaf clover. They were moved once a day up until 5 weeks or so then started moving them twice a day. I don’t have a cost breakdown for these, but have my receipts and can figure it out if anyone is real curious. I believe we went through 12 bags of feed. Hopefully this should be enough for our family for close to a year

Good looking birds and they made a fine carcass. Cornish Rocks?
