Not a bad way to end the upland season.

We hit our honey hole in Arizona, and had a blast the last three days. While we only chased Merns, a buddy killed the Arizona trifecta. Now it’s time to rest some dogs, and let their pads heal. This was definitely the year to hunt quail in Arizona.

My buddy hunted the honey hole today with 3 guys and two dogs. They hit it hard and moved 9 coveys, 8 Mearns and 1 covey of gambles. I have to admit, I’m a little jealous because they did better than we did. In our defense, we were looking for new areas as well.
