NYE Steak Frites Sous Vide Style...

Made a couple of black Angus bone in ribeyes for the wife and son (daughter is out). Classic French style steak frites. Used the sous vide cooker and a cast iron skillet...it was pretty tasty! The fam likes them on the medium side so sous vide is a great way to do it without overcooking it...

Looks good. I do mine to 120-125, like it on rare side of medium rare.

Yeah my gang is like medium though I prefer medium rare...the sous vide is good, but there is no replacement for a salamander like the steak houses use...wish I could have one of those in my house!

When I built my house back in 2000 I thought about putting one in. But too involved, so I just went with a griddle.

Ha ranch with the fries, only salt and pepper on the steak! Same forks we've had forever, all of them are three pronged...
