Nice. I like the look of that fiberglass. Never heard of Moonlit. How do you like it?
I‘d already bought a 6’6” 2wt Moonlit Lunar , that I liked a lot .
last week they sent me a sale code for $50 off , so I decided to try an 8’ 5wt . It feels heavy to me , but I’m use to fishing 1, 2 , and 3wt rods under 7’ .
I was surprised how the new five weight would shoot out the line .
I like a slow action rod and this is one . It was bending a nice arc With these gills and didn’t overpower them .
they are out of stock on most of their rods . I would have liked the 7’6” 4wt , but think the five weight has found a home .
I think it’ll be great boat rod .

Not familiar with Moonlit, but am into ULW fly fishing also. Have two Sage 3 weights, a Sage 1 weight and a Sage 00. Most of my fishing is warm water, bream and bass.

Way fun, a big bream will put serious bend in a rod. Throwing tiny poppers/flies, you never know what is going to hit. D60A79EB-116B-490D-A102-3C7859B23C64.jpeg

Nice bluegill !
My shoulder reminded me the next day why I prefer casting the ultralights .
I enjoyed the five weight but I going back to my 1, 2, and 3 weight rods .
