My youngest son lives in San Fran with his Mom. We fly fish summers and on
vacations when he visits. He misses fly fishing very much. For his birthday,
I bought him a nice 5wt and sent it out a couple weeks ago. After a lot of
searching we determined Putah creek was closest place he could do a day trip.
About 2.5 hours away. Putah has a reputation as a difficult creek due to its
proximity to a very populated area. He couldn't find any friends that fly fish
so today he went alone and nailed it!! He just texted and said he has caught
2 rainbows so far. I am sharing this because I am very proud and I wanted to
thank the members of this forum who helped us both become better fly fisherman.
Thank you guys!
