My 3 year old decided we would have a picnic by the pond this afternoon. Since we were down there anyway I decided to bring a fishing pole. We finished eating, caught a handful of bass, and then saw something swimming around the pond. I quickly realized it was a beaver and asked if she wanted to go catch it. She excitedly said yes and said let’s be done fishing daddy. We gathered our stuff and headed back to the house. I grabbed a beaver extreme, drowning rod, t stake, and my sidekick carried a bottle of backbreaker for me. We got down there about 10-15 minutes before dark and made the set. Decided to give the pigs some water and while we were doing that we saw him swimming around the set. My sidekick decided it was time to go so we left, but I had a feeling it wouldn’t take long. 30 minutes later I slipped back down and saw the trap gone down the drowner. Picked everything up and headed back to the house. Wish it was always that quick
