Red Coastal plain Chert point

Found this point in Southeast Ga. Coastal plain chert that has been heated really hot making it look like heat treated coral. Has stem broke off but still a nice point.

Plenty of red chert/Jasper around in Middle GA I know. I thought it was heat treated too, until I found raw red stone.
