Sour corn question

About a week ago I made up 2 batches (2 5-gallon buckets) of sour corn. Needless to say its pretty rank right now. I will be taking these down to hunting camp this Friday. The buckets have lids that screw on airtight. If I screw it on tightly for a period of about 8 or so hours and left in my jeep will the bucket explode? No way I can vent the buckets and make that drive with that smell! I read somewhere if its closed too tightly it could blow up from the gases expanding in the heat(?)

But very well could crack, leak, etc.

Drill a small hole, roll up an ear plug, and poof...

If the liquid has bubbles coming to the top it will build up pressure if you put on a top but I’d think you’d be fine

Fix a pipe nipple on your lid then put a balloon on the nipple. Any pressure will blow up the balloon.

It ought to be ripe by now with this heat
