Spending the Season Just Observing.....

how many have killed a good buck real early in the season and spent the rest of it just observing nature?

I have. Two years ago I killed a nice buck three days into the season. After that the pressure was off and I sat back and relaxed.

I am gonna sprend the rest of my time this year just watching deer to see where they come and go.

Thats me this year. I killed a 5 1/2 yr old 8 pointer with my bow on Sept.30th. I have hunted some since but at a nice and easy pace. I am relaxing a little before heading to Illinois Sat. I'll be hunting those Northern big boys next week.

I'd like to know what that feels like, I did take a doe with my bow on opening day so that is nice but I'll still be looking for Mr. Big

I usually buy an Alabama license if I tag out in Ga.

I am going to get the chance in Ga this year. On the last two days of bow season I tagged out on bucks. However I am heading back in 10 days but this time I will just enjoy the woods and watching all the critters from high above. It gets me going to listen to the barred owls early and late. Makes me start thinking about ol' tom. I might bust a couple of nannies in Dec.
