That`s about the cheapest I`ve seen bullets in along time.

That really is the best price I have seen in a loooong time.

If you don't know, that is NOT a legal hunting bullet for big game in Georgia.

Even though it is a hollow point, the bullet is not made to expand.

Shoot hogs and coyotes all night with them, but don't expect Mr. or Ms. Game Warden to let you go on your merry way, if you have a magazine full of them during the day.

Source? Ballistics gel says otherwise.

Sierra MatchKings in .224 do not mushroom.

They fragment if anything. This bullet fragments into pieces

Read the fine print.

They are not designed to expand or to be hunting bullets.

Some Game Wardens know it, some do not.

I wouldn't take the chance on the law, or on a wounded deer.

Next thing they’ll be regulating scopes!
If one can bait deer what does the non expanding little 77 gr bullet need hunting regulation?

The regulation states:

Firearms

Deer & Bear

  • Modern Rifles and Handguns: Centerfire only, .22-cal. or larger with expanding bullets. There is no restriction on magazine capacity for rifles.
Match King bullets do expand...they expand faster than hunting bullets...some might even say they fragment.

I have seen a Match King bullet kill a deer DRT at 606 yards. Forever ruined I am.

Those aren't for 4 legged critters, they're for paper at longer range and 2 legged critters

the fine print:
While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications.

I think you guys are splitting hairs on the expanding bullet law.
Chances of a GW even looking at your ammo is really rare. And them charging you with any kind of hollow point based on the manufacturer’s vague recommendation risk being laughed out of court.
You need to decide if you will use them or not.
It’s kind of like using a .22 hornet for deer. Some can, most shouldn’t.

Doesn't matter

OTMs and FMJ in 5.56mm can and does fragment.

It doesn't meet the definition of legal deer bullets in Georgia law

Its not being enforced because states don't have enough game wardens and they have better things to do but it is still the law

Again just say deer and bear have to be taken with centerfire rifles and let hunters use what ammunition they want

Or allow 22 WMR as well

Or be like the Carolinas just let hunters use whatever rifles they want or own
