They're pretty cool looking. I don't think I've ever seen one like that, though. Only the green ones.

The green ones are the annual cicadas. These are the 17-year deafening tree limb killing ones.

Those my friends produce what I refer to as the sound of summer heat.
When the cicadas are singing it’s usually HOT!
The 17 year look really cool they all make me think of some type of space alien.

Ya think we'll get them as far south as Carroll county. I'm one of those who think they are kind of cool. Have experienced them twice in my life so far.
