For your eyes.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!" Matthew

"and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.” Peter

Am I correct to assume that it is impossible or near impossible to heal one's self of unhealthy eyes as least in the context here, assuming Jesus was talking about a spiritual reality, and that only Jesus is able to correct the spiritual eye of this unhealthy situation?

And once more it is not sufficient that we know of such a possibility such as this that were are healed as when Peter says, "repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (or forgiveness) of sins" after he has made aware his audience that " by His wounds you were healed".

In other words the ministry of the Church ( baptism in this case) is still required for a decent recovery from unhealthy eyes. And more Paul will indicate to his baptized flocks that some are still to milk and so on. Therefore just knowing or being aware that Jesus died for our sins and by his stripes we are healed is not sufficient to someone's vision being restored such as your whole body will be full of light. The Church is somehow still required...

Did you know this?
