If you can find some #2-6 tungsten shot in your favorite gauge, it will do the job on hogs and is fine to have while hunting public land!

My hunting partner killed two with lead turkey loads at about 25 or 30 yards. It will surely kill them.

Most people will shoot and kill them with their regular turkey loads limited to 30’yards. I shoot 3 1/2” #4’s so I’d stretch it to 40 and be ready for a follow up shot if need be

My understanding is that factory tungsten loads are encapsulated in a special wad that protects very tight chokes.


If the choke says "for lead only", I wouldn't use it.
