Yard birds stuffed with sausage……smoked onion and veggies .,,,,,will be hitting the smoker very soon. Injected with garlic butter. Will be sprayed with apple juice every 30 minutes.

It was a real big word for good!!!! This whole meal with the exception of mushrooms, onion and asparagus came right out the backyard!!

Those veggies sat under the chicken and all that sausage / chicken belly flopped right down in it and simmered.

Love your posts Spotlite w/ the home grown meat & veggies! Thats some serious yardbird great idea w/ the veggies under catching the drippings! Captain's platter here, was weird going to Apalachicola today & coming back to Port St Joe to buy oysters from Cedar Key..fried sure were great blackened fresh Spanish mackerel..boilt skrimp..poppers & greek salad..great view from deck at supper too!Screenshot_20231024_185532_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20231024_185539_Gallery.jpg

Joker got some long shins. :LOL:

My Grandmother hated store bought Chicken after raising hers all her life. It even smells better cooking.

Sometimes when you order meat chicks…….especially going through 150 per year.,,…there are a few gimped up ones that don’t grow out right. Ended up with a few “granny legged” chickens lol
