So pretty obvious UGA is going to be conducting a coaching search in 3 years. Smart has 3 left in him but mismanagement at the QB position has proven he just ain’t going to ge it done. We have 3 more years of this and then probably take the UT route and have about 2-3 decades of losing seasons, coaching changes, the occasional SEC CG butt whipping and that’s it. Smart had a shot but it’s done.

Seriously there is a reason Smart is never mentioned in any possible coaching searches. From Justin Field to Stetson Bennett he has proven he just aint head coaching material in a program with national title aspirations. It is what it is. If UT or UF either one can get their selves remotely corrected Smart is Jim Donnan 2.0 not Mark Richt 2.0. UGA does not need to fire him because that would hasten the UT slide which is inevitable in 3-5 years but in the next 36-60 months UGA is looking for a coach. He had a shot but he just does not understand the importance of QB play in CFB today and it’s to late to change.
