Wanted: A good marine mechanic

Does anyone know a good marine mechanic out there? My throttle linkage is bent on my boat and I'm not too keen about opening it up to repair it. I live near Macon and just need to find somebody between Warner Robins and Milledgville that won't take me to the cleaners. I hope to be certified myself one day, but gotta get in school first. Please help. Thanks!!

Im a marine tech but im up on lake lanier, what brand is it and are you talking about the control box or the linkage on the motor?

Hey bilge..it's a Basstracker...it's the control box linkage...and I can't get the handle off of the control box. You can feel it because it's tought to put into gear and the being bent it makes the motor idle up to 4,000 rpm's. I'm pretty sure this is the problem because it happened one time before.
