Got this a a birthday present from my dad today. One of the best gifts I’ve ever got. It’s a -Winchester thumb trigger model- 22 short and long. From what I’ve found the were made between 1904 and 1923. Itd make most youth model rifles look huge. I’m now the 4th generation to own this rifle 13034C14-9003-4ADF-9CB8-1642E20BE848.jpeg4C8F0567-7977-49F8-9519-1418A953A0E7.jpeg936DBE11-91AB-468F-B6C6-0E605639450E.jpeg

Sweet. Good you got to keep it generational. ?

All of "our" family heirloom guns got gone except what I have to leave my nephews (that won't give 2 hoots), Daddy's 1100 and Mosin/Nagant that he loved both.

And the H&R .410 that Daddy and my uncle shared when they were kids. I have it now and was my first gun. It's the old school with the long bbl, fixed full choke and beautiful hardwood stock.

Mine, and I have a bunch, ain't exactly for sale but Daddy's shotgun, rifle and the .410 are priceless- as long as I'm alive at least.

I just learned something...Never knew this existed.
It’s pretty neat. You pull the nob back to “cock it” and the mechanism behind it locks it back. When you press it with your thumb like you would to flip a thumb safety off it fires

I wanna say ian from forgotten weapons did a YouTube video on this rifle. Quite odd by today's standards. The old days from 1860 to 1940 were a wild time for gun designs.
