Headed down there soon! Any fishing reports for the jetties, beaches, or creeks would be appreciated- have not been down this early in YEARS!

What is cooking at the St. Mary's/ Amelia Jetties now?

Spanish and tarpon will be around the south Jetty. I usually like to watch from the tip of the jetty and watch for the action to start. Also sheepshead will be around the rocks, as will the occasional red.

Tarpon already?? Wow. Thought those did not slide in til late July/ August.

Yeh, they are starting to show up. June- mid September they will be swimming through.

Cool! I love tarpon....they are my favorite fish by far. What else such agressive strikes, can get over 200#s, clear 4 feet of water when they jump, fight like madman....AND you can catch them with out burning $200 worth of gas!

Agreed! Of course if a snook got to be as big as a tarpon you'd never catch him.
